WILL I DO looks like quite a filly - will she get an easy go of it up front? I don't think so, look for PARISIAN TRIP to have first run and MISS SANATA coming late.

Rough trip for THREEWIT in his last. He also caught a sloppy track, which was obviously not to his liking. He'll make amends here.

Race 3
I'm fairly interested in both O'Connell fillies, but Boulanger bails on the 8 and the work tab for the 5 doesn't indicate she's ready. Let's follow Gary B to AFFECTIONATE GAL. She's had almost as many trainers as races, but gets a drop here and should be in the mix.

Race 4
It's hard to bet on a horse that you know would have to run a career best effort to win, but that's just what I am going to do here. Hoping for such an effort from PROSE.

Race 5
I almost never play horses in the first try against winners, but I really like what I saw from SOUTHERN DUCHESS in her debut. Gets a rider upgrade in Cruz and looks to be at the proper level.
The bet: $15 WP #9

Race 6
COOL HONOR looked like he was going to win his debut until he ran into trouble (the legendary mazeltrick shuffle) - Cruz stays, I will too.

did you see the replay of the 6th race at calder from sun. True moments came flying in the lane, would have done seabiscuit proud. Should we watch to play again? Same race dianthus was left at gate, yet rallied for 4th. same question. or was that race so full of nags that it really meant nothing?

actually pretty decent times for in the slop, as the track was sunny at the start; but by the 6th was ankle deep!

True Moments did what she was supposed to do, no surprise really. But Dianthus, on the other hand, might be one to watch for next time. She had the worst of trips and still managed to keep her interest - that's something I always look for.
